ABOUT MICKEY NEWMAN
I received an MFA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in 2015 and a BA in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. In between degrees, I spent several years sailing the world as a drummer in show bands and jazz trios on cruise ships.
In 2015, I wrote and directed "The Thrill of Being Followed" -- a 21 minute short film accepted in eight film festivals with one win and two nominations. Afterwards, I edited a feature length documentary entitled "My Sister Hali" while teaching film production and film theory courses at Temple University.
Currently, I freelance as an independent videographer and photographer, specializing in commercials, live music events, artist exposes, and real estate.
I am also a certified drone pilot.
